"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." Proverbs 16:9
Tuesday morning. The first day home for mr. Logan and at 10am I get a phone call from Jenn. He pulled his tube out again! All I can say is, "Oh brother!" I can hear her scrambling to eat something while she's busy getting Malachi dressed. "We're heading to Mac again and at the recommendation of our dietitian I'm going to insist they keep him and put a g-tube in or we're moving on to Toronto. Adam has to work, want to be my sidekick?" As much as I want to rush out and champion my nephew today....my own son sits on the couch looking kind of white from having his tooth pulled this morning at 9am and my youngest just had a needle in each arm. (We are having a great day!!) Saying no I can't isn't a problem though because there are a whole bunch of people who are willing to go with her and today is Aunt Jessica's turn! Aunt Jess is a lot of fun to hang around with anyways so she had great company for the day!
I have just been updated that Mac took one look at Logan coming back through the doors and the Doctors decided to just keep him. He had lost 3 ounces again since they were there yesterday and this is a concern of course. From what we understand the scope is still booked for next Wednesday but they are not leaning towards it being the pylorus anymore. Though it is thickened it is not pyloric stenosis. So as they wait to do the scope they will begin running other tests as well. Hopefully tomorrow Jenn will get more information about these tests and can update us better.
So for tonight Jenn and Adam will be waiting in the emergency area for a bed opening. Tomorrow Adam will work and I will get the pleasure of going to spend the day with Jenn and Logan to get some serious cuddle time in! (Thanks in advance Auntie Ann for watching my kiddos!)
The kids are well taken care of right now being spoiled by the Oma's! No doubt Malachi is telling tall tales and singing away to the Linde's while Olivia is getting into all sorts of mischief at my parents. Adam and Jenn have no fear that they are in good hands!
Please continue to pray for peace and patience for them as they await some answers for Logan. The road has seemed so long already and it stretches before us, but we know that we don't walk it alone. Even in the face of trial may we say with David "But I trust in you, O Lord, I say, "You are my God!"
"The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1
It is times like these especially when I wish we lived there too so I could help out and tag along to be of assistance. Praying and praying and praying for you all. LOVE you all terribly.
